Our governance
The Department of Wellbeing and Civic Care is governed through its ministerial and senior Civil Service leadership. Safeguarding, wellbeing and civic-care functions are subject to clear professional boundaries, escalation arrangements and the requirement not to substitute United Hampshire services for real-world emergency, medical or statutory care.
Current ministerial offices and responsibilities are published in the List of Ministerial Responsibilities. Senior officials remain accountable for the administration, governance, risk and delivery of the department within the Civil Service.
