Responsibilities
The Minister for Safeguarding is responsible, within Interior competence, for:
- policing safeguarding;
- public protection;
- grooming;
- coercion;
- exploitation;
- serious harassment;
- threats;
- predatory conduct;
- disclosure and barring;
- safeguarding-related protective police measures; and
- cross-government work with the Department of Wellbeing and Civic Care.
