The Commission for Countering Extremism and Harmful Influence provides evidence and advice on extremism and harmful influence within the Interior Office’s policy remit.
Responsibilities
- We examine evidence and trends relevant to extremism and harmful influence.
- We provide independent or specialist advice to government on policy responses within our remit.
- We support understanding of the risks to public order, security and civic life posed by extremist or harmful influence.
- We do not exercise police, intelligence, immigration or judicial powers.
