Social media use
Information about the Commission for Countering Extremism and Harmful Influence's Twitter account and how we moderate it.
Commission for Countering Extremism and Harmful Influence may use official social-media or community channels to explain its public work, share approved announcements and direct people to authoritative GOV.UH information.
Official accounts
Only an account or channel published by Commission for Countering Extremism and Harmful Influence or the United Hampshire Government as an official route should be treated as an official account. An unofficial community, personal or historic account does not become authoritative because it discusses the organisation.
What we publish
Official social-media activity may signpost public information about evidence, analysis and advice on extremism and harmful influence within the Interior Office policy remit, publications, vacancies, consultations or service updates where those products are approved for release.
What social media is not for
Do not use social media to submit sensitive casework, report an emergency, provide protected evidence, make an immigration application, exercise a formal appeal right or send information that the relevant service requires through a secure route. Use the competent GOV.UH service instead.
Moderation and records
Use of social channels remains subject to the applicable platform, records, information-security, communications and public-service controls. Official posts may form part of the public record where the records rules require that.
Personal accounts
Staff using personal accounts must not present personal views as official statements, disclose protected official information or use access obtained through their role for an unauthorised purpose.
