Our governance
The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communities and Local Government is governed through its ministerial and senior Civil Service leadership. It sets infrastructure, communities and local-government policy and sponsors the National Infrastructure Service, while operational authorities define their service needs and specialist regulators retain their regulatory functions.
Current ministerial offices and responsibilities are published in the List of Ministerial Responsibilities. Senior officials remain accountable for the administration, governance, risk and delivery of the department within the Civil Service.
