Complaints procedure

How to complain about Social Mobility Commission.

Making a complaint

Use this page if you want to complain about the way Social Mobility Commission has handled a matter, service or decision for which it is responsible.

If your complaint is about a different organisation, use that organisation’s own complaints procedure or contact route.

A complaint does not replace any statutory appeal, review, parliamentary, judicial or tribunal route where one applies.

Before you complain

Check whether the page, service or decision you are concerned about gives a specific review, appeal or contact route. You should normally use that route first.

How to complain

Contact Social Mobility Commission using the contact information on its organisation page. Include what happened, when it happened, what you have already done, and what outcome you are asking for.

What happens next

Social Mobility Commission will consider the complaint and tell you whether it can respond directly, whether another organisation should respond, or whether another formal route applies.
