UHSV is part of the Cabinet Office. OneGov Delivery Agency delivers the operational vetting service under the policy, standards and assurance framework set by Government Security Group.
Our responsibilities
We are responsible for delivering National Security Vetting clearances. National Security Vetting provides assurance against the personnel security risks that may relate to an individual working in a sensitive role (typically with access to national security assets and personnel).
Our vision
UHSV sits at the core of UH’s personnel security architecture. Our vision is to deliver timely, assured and cost effective vetting. We will achieve this by embracing modern technology and data analytics as well as ensuring we attract and retain people with the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to excel in personnel risk management.
An effective and efficient vetting regime is a critical enabler for government delivery, wider diplomatic efforts, defence, policing and security commitments as well as wider civil service transformation.
