Community groups, charities, businesses and other organisations can provide activities and services independently of Government.

Join a group or volunteer

Contact the organiser to find out about its activities, eligibility rules and volunteering opportunities. The organisation should explain how to join and who is responsible for its work.

Set up an organisation

Choose the type of organisation and check the registration, governance or licensing rules that apply. Some activities need approval from a regulator or another public authority.

Work with Government

Independent organisations may apply for public contracts or take part in consultations where opportunities are available. Read the published terms and application process for each opportunity.
