Public service broadcasting
The Havenstead Broadcasting Service (HBS) provides independent public service media for Havenstead. It covers news, public affairs, education, culture and community life.
Programmes and news
HBS can produce news, current affairs, educational and cultural programmes, documentaries and coverage of public events. It also preserves recordings and material of lasting public interest.
Look for current programme information and schedules from HBS when these are published.
Editorial independence
The HBS Board oversees the Service and the Chief Executive manages its operations. Editors and programme teams make editorial decisions independently of Ministers and Government Communications.
Take part in a programme
If HBS invites contributions to a programme or event, check its published instructions, participation conditions and contact arrangements. The Service is responsible for editorial standards, safeguarding and handling the information it receives.
Regulation and complaints
HBS is responsible for its own programme and editorial complaints procedures. Ofcom carries out its separate broadcasting regulatory functions.
The Department for Culture, Media and Recreation sponsors HBS.
