Responsibilities
- We lead government policy for schools, colleges, higher education and the wider State Education system.
- We are responsible for curriculum, qualifications and assessment policy within our competence.
- We lead policy on special educational needs and disabilities, access to education and safeguarding in education.
- We sponsor and work with the education agencies, regulators and public bodies responsible for inspection, qualifications, assessment, teaching standards and student interests.
