Visas, immigration and citizenship

The Interior Office administers immigration permission and citizenship matters for Havenstead. Different applications cover entry, residence, settlement and citizenship.

Check which citizenship or immigration service to use to find the relevant process.

Immigration permission

If you are subject to immigration control, you may need permission to enter or remain in Havenstead under the Immigration Act 2026 and Immigration Rules. Apply for immigration permission, or see Enter or stay in Havenstead for information about who needs permission.

Settlement

Settlement is permission to stay without a time limit. The eligibility rules are different from those for a time-limited permission. Apply for settlement.

Citizenship

Citizenship applications and records are governed by the British Nationality Act 2026. If you already have citizenship, you can request evidence of your citizenship or request a correction to your record. You do not need to apply for citizenship again simply because you have returned after an absence. To apply for citizenship, choose the right application.

Apply or challenge a decision

For an immigration decision, check the review rights and time limit in your decision notice. If administrative review is available, request a review. If you have a separate right to appeal to a tribunal or court, follow the appeal instructions in the notice.
